Leo Martin

Leo was admitted as a Solicitor in Scotland in 1985 and as a Solicitor in the Superior Courts of England and Wales in 1998. He has throughout his career advised on all aspects of property law, contract law, including sports contracts for football, rugby, golf and snooker players, and on negligence including professional liability, personal reputation and invasion of privacy matters.

Throughout the last 35 years Leo has been the Chair of various educational, careers and charitable institutions. From 2001 until 2010 he was Director of Professional Practice Courses for Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities in the Glasgow Graduate School of Law. During that period and until 2017 he taught property law, professional responsibility and ethics practice and the UK’s first family business law course. In 2017 Leo returned to being a full time student for a year and obtained a Masters of Business Administration with distinction and, in the same year, was appointed both Emeritus Professor by the University of Strathclyde and MBE at Buckingham Palace for his services to healthcare and education.
