Amanda is a specialist in employment law and heads our employment law team.
Following her commercial litigation background, she has been specialising in employment law for over 15 years. She successfully represents both employers and employees in tribunals for unfair dismissal including constructive unfair dismissal and discrimination claims. She has a particular interest in disability discrimination claims. She has also represented a number of claimants in group claims for protective awards, holiday pay and age discrimination.
Amanda is also known for her commercial and pragmatic approach when advising on wrongful dismissal and negotiating exits for high profile individuals, senior executives and drafting and enforcing post termination restrictive covenants. Her outcome focused approach and listening to clients’ goals helps ensure client satisfaction.
Her areas of practice also include advising on disciplinary issues, settlement agreements, performance management, sickness, and incapacity, restructuring, and redundancy, contract drafting and managing changes to terms and conditions.
