Kirsty Yuill

Kirsty is an experienced litigator with over 22 years litigation experience.  She joined Levy and McRae in 2024.  Prior to that she was a litigation partner at one of top ten insurance risk and commercial law firms in the UK.  She has a range of experience in dealing with civil and commercial litigation matters and splits her practice between our Medilaw law team and our civil and commercial litigation practice.  She has extensive experience of civil and commercial claims raised in the Sherif Courts and Court of Session including construction,  personal injury, historical abuse, civil fraud and professional negligence claims.  She has a particular interest in Proceeds of Crime cases and regularly provides advice to individuals and businesses in respect of the powers, sanctions and court proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

 

Kirsty holds the Law Society of Scotland certification for Trauma Informed law and adopts these principles in her practice.  In addition to her role at Levy & McRae, she is a tutor on the Diploma in legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde and is a member of the Civil Justice Committee at the Law Society of Scotland.  Kirsty is also a Board Trustee and Secretary of a Community Trust Organisation.  She is also a former Panel member of the SYFA (Scottish Youth Football Association) Child Wellbeing and Protection Panel.
