Grant Maclean

Grant has been handling civil litigation claims including commercial and contractual disputes of all types for over 30 years. He has been immersed in insurance litigation for many years dealing with issues professional negligence (including claims for and against construction professionals and lawyers), policy indemnity and property damage matters. He has extensive experience of handling all manner of contractual and partnership disputes. He has also represented other lawyers in relation to regulatory matters. He has an interest in sporting disputes and all forms of commercial litigation.

Grant has appeared regularly over the years in the sheriff court conducting proofs, debates, appeals and other procedural hearings. He is regularly instructed in cases proceeding in the Court of Session.

In the 2022 Chambers Review he was ranked as an individual in the field of professional negligence with testimonials noting that he “was very responsive and thorough when going through issues, and gave us pragmatic advice” and another stating that he “is very dedicated to the client’s interests, very experienced and knowledgeable.
